Originally from Stephenville, NL, Alysha earned her Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) from Memorial University and completed the co-op program, gaining hands-on experience in physiotherapy clinics. She is a CSEP-Clinical Exercise Physiologist with additional certifications in High Performance Specialization, spin instruction, and Concept2 rowing.
With years of experience as a group fitness trainer, Alysha has coached clients of every age and ability level - from beginners to seasoned athletes, from professionals to individuals recovering from injury. Her approach to fitness is rooted in longevity, functional movement, and sustainable progress, ensuring every person she works with feels capable, supported, and empowered to make their workout truly their own.
She currently works full-time as a Civilian Fitness & Sports Instructor with the Canadian Armed Forces in St. John's, leading fitness and performance programs for military personnel. During two deployments to Latvia, she delivered group fitness training to members from 14 NATO nations.
Outside of work, Alysha enjoys strength training, hiking Newfoundland's trails, riding her motorcycle with her husband and their dog Milo, and exploring new destinations whenever she can.
